55 years old, since 2022 enologist at Fattoria la Maliosa. After attending the Istituto Tecnico Agrario (Technical Agricultural Institute) in Grosseto, he attended one of the first courses in viticulture and oenology, immediately starting his profession as an oenologist. For more than 25 years, he has been a consultant for several wineries in Tuscany in the Monte Amiata, Poggibonsi and Montalcino areas and in the Val d’Orcia. He takes care of both the bureaucratic aspects and the vineyards and cellars.ine.
“I have known La Maliosa for some time through previous collaborations and I am happy to now be the reference winemaker for Antonella Manuli. What strikes me most from a technical point of view is the professionalism I find in the ability to make natural wines in the right way. In an often approximate sector, it is not trivial to find a company that follows naturalness based on science”.
Filippo embraced the Maliosa project with passion and respect, also thanks to the possibility of working with a close-knit and very collaborative group of people. People who, as he points out, know how to listen to nature, a necessary condition for doing this job, and do what nature allows them to do, without forcing it. “This is the philosophy of a company that wants to produce naturally. The objective of La Maliosa is to respect the vineyards and to produce wines with a high index of pleasantness”.
Also proud of this year’s harvest, which will allow for quality wines, Filippo when at Maliosa likes to go to the SkyDeck at Monte Cavallo, a place that “puts him at peace with the world”.
