Fattoria La Maliosa
Agriculture can be practiced in harmony with the landscape, the land, and its delicate balances. Without disrupting them, but rather adding value. We are Fattoria La Maliosa, and this is our founding principle.
Our name comes from the Italian verb “ammaliare”, meaning “to bewitch” or “enchant,” chosen to celebrate the extraordinary charm of the landscapes that surround us.
Our project is based on three fundamental choices: quality, beauty, and environmental health, with full respect for the land and its uniqueness.
For us, ethics and aesthetics go hand in hand. Our world is nestled among the hills of the Tuscan Maremma, blending with their beauty to enrich and enhance it further. We are divided between two territories. The first is the Saturnia area, where vineyards coexist in balance with olive groves, arable land, and forests, covering a total of 170 hectares, with predominantly clay and chaotic stone soils. The second is the Pitigliano area, where we have 3 hectares of vineyards planted on volcanic soils. These places are at the heart of our philosophy, and our daily work aims to express their true essence.
Our idea of quality is very simple. We produce wines and extra virgin olive oil using artisanal methods, in complete harmony with nature. We believe in transparency, in a world where people are becoming increasingly aware of what they consume. We are conscious that every balance is fragile and that humans must tread lightly because the land is a finite resource—our most precious one.
We have been certified organic since our founding in 2010. In 2022, we also obtained SQNPI certification for “sustainable quality” in partnership with the National Rural Network.
